Police are searching for a 25-year-old woman they say was engaged in a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old boy left in her care.

The incident allegedly happened on July 15.

Authorities were notified about the incident in early September.

Investigators say the teen victim from Dumfries, Va. was in the care of 25-year-old Shaquanna Leniece Thompson when the alleged abuse occurred.
