Man lying in road struck and killed by Metro bus - DC Breaking Local News Weather Sports FOX 5 WTTG

Police are investigating two pedestrian accidents in the District.

The first happened Thursday night along 14th Street near Parkwood Place in northwest.

Investigators say a Metro bus hit and killed a man who was lying in the middle of the street.

Police are trying to determine if the victim was under the influence of drugs.

The second incident happened around 6:00 a.m. Friday near Wisconsin and Western Avenues. Police say a cyclist was struck by a vehicle.

The injured man is expected to survive.
