Police say what started as a traffic stop in New Castle, Del., led to a home that had more than 700 vials of bath salts, bags of marijuana and heroin and thousands of dollars in suspected drug money.

Police say they pulled over a minivan Wednesday morning because it failed to signal as it was changing lanes. Police also report noticing that the vehicle's registration plate was covered with a tinted plastic.

A search found the driver, who is identified as Khalid Jamil, was using a suspended driver's license.

When he exited the car, police say he was holding a cup, which he spilled on the side of the road.

A short time later, police say they located a white plastic bag that had seven empty containers with a powdery type substance similar to that of bath salts.

When officers noticed the residue inside the cup was consistent with the residue in the plastic containers, it was determined that Jamil had allegedly attempted to discard the drug by emptying the containers into the cup, police said.

Investigators say they later found 767 clear plastic vials of bath salts, 10 bags of heroin and marijuana and more than $3,000 worth of suspected drug money in Jamil's Scottfield home.

Thursday weather looks damp and stormy.  It will be mild and muggy to start with spotty showers early followed by afternoon and evening storms.  Highs in the upper 70s with winds out of the SW 5-10 mph. Some of the storms will produce locally heavy rain and gusty winds.

This system is from the same cold front that caused the midwest tornadoes. It will also usher in cooler air for the holiday weekend.
