Dionne Miller's 'Happenings from Halas' - September 20

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) -

Brian Urlacher has still not seen any video of the "bump that rocked J'Webb Nation" last week, and he doesn't care to.

According to him, it's over.

"Someone told me there was supposed to be a mutiny in the locker room - I didn't know we were supposed to be mad at him," Urlacher said.

The middle linebacker isn't.

"People get pissed off. It's like a fight in practice. It's practice, who cares. You guys have seen us fight in training camp. Five minutes later we're buddies again. Once it's over with, it's over with. We spend a lot of time together so you better get rid of it quick. It's going to be a long season if you don't," he said.

So, now can we move on to the rest of said, "long season?" Please?

It appears the Bears defense is all on the same page - pressure Sam Bradford. The few players who spoke Thursday (Urlacher, Briggs, Corey Wooton and Henry Melton) all praised Bradford for his 310 yard, 3 touchdown effort in the Rams win on Sunday.

He has a strong arm, gets rid of the ball fast, he's decisive and he's got a cannon when he lets it fly. All qualities the Rams hope will be an advantage Sunday. My hunch says not likely. The Bears got their butts kicked in Green Bay. I can't imagine them not responding in a big way, making it a long day for Bradford.

Rams RB Steven Jackson remains a question mark. Urlacher called him a monster - he's just so big - and he's a guy who makes St. Louis go. He's listed as day to day with a groin injury so who knows if he will play Sunday.

The Rams do have a formidable backup in Daryl Richardson who is described as fast but he's not Jackson - even at 80 percent. So that remains something to watch for moving into the weekend.

Practice Notes

Urlacher was held out of practice Thursday, part of the team's monitoring of his reps during the week. Urlacher assured us his knee is fine, feels good in fact. And that he is getting better every week and sees no reason why that won't continue.

Matt Forte continues to "progress" which is as vague as it sounds.

Though Lovie did say the team is confident if they need to call upon Michael Bush to start Sunday. Official game day injury report still to come.

Random Observations

Lance Briggs sported a White Sox hat to the podium for interviews Thursday. Not just a fashion statement, but a sign of support for the South Side. He wasn't the only one. I counted five more White Sox caps hanging out in the Bears locker room. Love the solidarity from Halas Hall to the Cell.

But, later I was watching an NFL Network interview with Rams WR Danny Amendola. He was wearing a Tigers hat. He's from Texas so I have a hard time believing he's a die hard Detroit fan. I mean, maybe but I'm wondering if MLB is shipping caps around to stir up something on Sunday...hmmm...interesting.
