Get Up and Go: Peachtree City Dragon Boat Races

Posted: Updated:
PEACHTREE CITY, Ga. -

Get Up and Go's destination is in Georgia but you'll feel as though you've traveled around the world. Peachtree City is hosting its 5th Annual International Festival and Rotary Club Dragon Boat Races.

The Rotary Club used to borrow dragon boats for this festival but not any more. The club decided to go to China and have dragon boats custom built for this event.

The Rotary Club will debut these very special dragon boats on Saturday as 40 teams go head-to-head on Lake Peachtree.

The international festival will be going on at the same time with art, music, and dancers reflecting cultures from around the world. Food booths will offer traditional dishes from Japan, Korea, Greece and more!
