Police host community meeting to discuss murder of honor student Amber Stanley

KETTERING, Md. -

Prince George's County Police are sharing more details of their investigation into the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Amber Stanley. It is a murder that has rocked the normally quiet Kettering community.

It was standing room-only at the Kettering Community Center as concerned residents asked questions.

Police told them an entire squad has been dedicated to the case and the FBI has assigned a crime analyst. Police have also expanded their investigation beyond the Kettering area.

They said they have also spoken to students at Charles H. Flowers High School, Amber Stanley's school, and also to students at Largo High School.

Anyone who knows anything is asked to call the police tipline at 301-352-1200. A $25,000 reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
