WASHINGTON -

D.C. Police are on the lookout for a suspect who robbed St. Stephen and the Incarnation Episcopal Church last Saturday afternoon. It happened in broad daylight at around 12:26 p.m.

According to a police report, the armed suspect had a mask on covering part of his face. He followed a man into a stairwell near the church office, forced him to the floor, put a handgun to the back of his head and said, "Yo, do you have any money?"

Police say the man went through the victim's pockets and stole money, his wallet, an iPhone and other personal items.

A pastor at the church heard the commotion and walked in on the robbery in progress. Police say the suspect pointed the gun at her too and then fled.

Police have released surveillance video showing the suspect. He is a black male, medium complexion, 18 to 20 years old, about 5'10" tall with brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black mask, a striped polo style shirt with short sleeves and blue jeans.

The Metropolitan Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying and locating a suspect in connection with an armed robbery.  The suspect is shown in this video.
