ALEXANDRIA, Va. -
Some northern Virginia voters will return from the long Labor Day weekend to confront a special election for the House of Delegates.
Three candidates -- Democrat Rob Krupicka, Republican Timothy McGhee and Libertarian Justin Malkin -- are on the ballot in the 45th District to replace Democrat David Englin, who resigned after an extramarital affair.
The district includes parts of Fairfax and Arlington counties and the city of Alexandria, including its Old Town section.
Krupicka, a city council member in Alexandria, is the favorite in a largely Democratic district.
Polls are open Tuesday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.
