Prince George's County Police revisited the scene of a murder on Friday. Detectives conducted a crime scene search outside of the home in Kettering where 17-year-old Amber Stanley was shot and killed while in bed on August 22.

Investigators believe the gunman fled the scene on foot and focused their search outside of the home at the intersection of Essenton Drive and Cambleton Drive.

Police say a gunman kicked in the front door at the home just after 10 p.m. the night of the murder, climbed the stairs, and shot Stanley multiple times in her bed.

Several other people in the home got out unharmed.
