Warner Brothers to stop using Confederate Flag on General Lee, new Dukes of Hazzard movie

Posted: Updated:

Warner Brothers has decided that no more General Lee toys can be made with the Confederate Flag on top and boy, are "Dukes of Hazzard" fans mad.

They've posted a petition online calling for Warner to change its mind.

Warner owns the theatrical, DVD and licensing rights to The Dukes.

Even though only merchandise is affected now, Warner Brothers is developing a Dukes of Hazzard movie and it's possible it'll insist that the General Lee not have the flag on its roof.

Ben Jones, who played Cooter on the series, writes on Facebook that "knuckleheads" who don't understand the South are behind what he calls a case of "boneheaded reverse discrimination."
