BETHESDA, Md. -
A victim in an alleged bicycle hit-and-run is recuperating with a broken nose, broken neck, a back fracture and broken teeth.
Jodi Grant says she doesn't remember much about what happened and that she woke up later in the hospital. But the Bethesda resident says she was riding her bicycle down Massachusetts Avenue about 10:30 a.m. last Friday when a minivan swerved out of the left turning lane at Croswell Drive to get into the main traffic lane and struck her.
Police say they are continuing to look for the vehicle that was allegedly involved in the incident. They say the only description have come from witnesses who say the van was dark blue and has damage now on the passenger side.
Grant is an avid cyclist and says she wants to educate motorists to be careful when they are driving and to share the road with bicyclists.
