Neil Young is not dead.

And he's not an astronaut, either.

Former astronaut Neil Armstrong died over the weekend.

He was the first man to walk on the moon, in July of 1969.

But the NBC News website goofed with the headline "Astronaut Neil Young, first man to walk on the moon, dies at age 82."

Seven minutes later the mistake was corrected.

NBC says it was due to a staffer's error.
