Public Works crew overcome by unknown fumes - DC Breaking Local News Weather Sports FOX 5 WTTG

Two D.C. Department of Public Works workers were hospitalized after being overcome by fumes from a vapor cloud Monday morning.

The incident happened in an alley on the 1200 block of I Street in the northeast.

It is unknown at this time what the gas was, however, a person at the location told FOX 5 it may have been muriatic acid.

The investigation is still continuing at this time.
