SYLVAN LAKE, Mich. (MyFox Detroit) -- It's perfect for ages five to 105. ROXObands are a silicon bracelets that are fun, different, interchangeable and a personal expression of who you are.
"ROXO is Facebook on your wrist. You can take whatever picture that you like, whatever you're in to, and you can transform that onto your wrist and you can wear it," said Greg Ramfos.
He is the owner who came up with ROXO and now has a 20,000 square foot facility in Sylvan Lake.
"We have two things. One is we have the best workforce in the world, and two, the technology that's just located here in Michigan is unbelievable."
The first step is picking out your band.
"We have 36 different color bands. We have glow in the dark bands. We have swirl bands. We have just about every major color you can think of, and they come in four sizes -- small, medium and large, then extra large. And so that way you can customize to the size that your comfortable with."
Then choose the beads that are unique and personal to you.
"We offer over 2,000 selections right now on our website," Ramfos said. "A large band can hold over 15 ROXOs, but the whole idea is when you first purchase ROXOs, you're going to be excited because you're going to like them all, and just pick one or two, snap them on. They snap on and off really easy."
ROXO started in 2010 and in less than two years they've become larger than what they could ever imagine.
"We were able to deliver to Walmart in six weeks, which is one of the fastest launches in the history of Walmart, and guess where it was done? Right here in Michigan," Ramfos said. "We're in over 4,000 stores nationwide. We're about ready to move into Canada."
You can purchase ROXO online, at Walmart or various other retail stores around Southeastern Michigan.
"The ROXO brand itself is $5.95. You get the ROXO and you get a sticker, a reusable sticker that goes with it. The bands are a dollar."
