The Washington Nationals are not only hoping to make it to the playoffs - they are also hoping D.C. officials will pay to keep the Metro open late should they do so.
The team made the request last month and it appears to be a valid one.
This past Monday, hundreds of fans were stranded after a thirteen inning game because the Metro had already closed.
The Washington Post reports D.C. officials are planning to say no to the Nationals' request.
