An Ellicott City, Maryland train derailment forced the postponement of the pre-trail hearing for Khalid Sheik Muhammed, the alleged 9/11 mastermind.
Muhammad and four other men were supposed to have their hearing Wednesday at the U.S. Navy base in Guantanamo Bay Cuba.
When the train crashed, Verizon says some fiber optic lines that provide communication to the remote navy base were knocked out.
As a result, lawyers in Cuba didn't have a computer connection.
Their service has since been restored and the hearing is expected to take place tomorrow.
The CSX train hauling coal derailed around midnight Monday and fell from a bridge near Baltimore, killing the students who were on the tracks and crushing vehicles in a parking lot.
