BELTSVILLE, Md. -

Prince George's County police say they've arrested a person involved in a pursuit in which an officer was killed.

Police said Tuesday afternoon that they had arrested an occupant of the car the officers were chasing. Police did not provide any additional details. The car involved in the pursuit was recovered early Tuesday.

Twenty-three-year-old officer Adrian Morris was killed Monday afternoon after his cruiser ran off Interstate 95 in Beltsville and crashed into a ditch. Morris and another officer had been pursuing a vehicle believed to have been involved in a theft.

Morris was a native of Kingston, Jamaica, and had been on the force for 2 1/2 years.
