SILVER SPRING, Md. -
The car was stolen right from their front yard.
Chief-Bajon Bihai III, his wife Beatrice Bah and their new baby were sleeping when her 2003, grey Honda Pilot was driven away by two car thieves.
They know because the whole thing was captured by their home surveillance camera.
They live on busy New Hampshire Avenue in Silver Spring, not far from the Beltway.
The time stamp on the video shows the crime happened shortly before midnight.
Two men are seen in the video. They open Bihai's vehicle. He says they found his spare key to his wife's Honda and used it to drive the car away, along with his wallets and credit cards.
He says the thieves tried unsuccessfully to get into cars at his neighbor's house next door.
Police say it's a crime of convenience that's all too common.
Their advice, take valuables out of your car and keep your vehicle locked.
