Marine from Herndon, Sgt. Ryan Jeschke, killed in Afghanistan

WASHINGTON -

The Pentagon says a marine from northern Virginia has been killed in Afghanistan.

Thirty-one-year-old Gunnery Sgt. Ryan Jeschke of Herndon, Va., died Friday while conducting combat operations in Helmand province, Afghanistan.

Jeschke was assigned to 1st Marine Special Operations Battalion, Camp Pendleton, Calif.
