High School Swim Coach Accused Of Sex With Student

A Berks County high school swim coach is accused of having a sexual relationship with an underage student, police said Tuesday.

Jonathan Bell, 31, teaches in the Exeter School District and is a swimming coach for Governor Mifflin High School.

Prosecutors say the young woman involved was 17-years old when the relationship began, and they allege that it last from December 2010 to June 2012.

According to a police report, Bell faces counts of corruption of minors, unlawful contact with minor and Sexual Abuse of Children F2.

Exeter schools have suspended Bell without pay.
