We had the pleasure of hanging out with Austin at Comerica Park, one of his favorite places. Austin loves going to Tigers' games and told us about his latest trip.
"I was sitting all the way over there in the high stands, but it was pretty good."
From the highest seat to the lowest dugout, Austin has seen it all thanks to a personalized tour of the stadium.
As much as Austin loves watching sports, he loves playing them even more. His favorites are baseball and basketball.
"It's more fun for me to just be out there playing instead of me sitting on the bench."
Austin is always on the move. He loves hanging out with friends. They love going to the movies and the library. He told us he likes to read books about sports. He's a loyal fan and also a loyal friend.
Austin has been waiting for adoption for five years now. Finding a family is very important to him, so he was a little nervous opening up to us, but he was still able to tell us about the forever family he's looking for.
"A mom and a dad, maybe a younger brother or something like that. I'd just like to hang around a dad so he could show me some stuff that he used to do and things that he used to like and stuff. I get along with anybody. I'm always a good kid. I don't really cause trouble."
Austin said he likes being a good example. He loved having a younger foster brother in a previous placement.
"I don't mind sisters, just dolls, I don't mess with dolls."
A good brother and a good kid, this quiet young man is looking for a family that's a perfect fit.
"I'm a good kid. I don't look for trouble. I stay focused on what I've got to do. If you need me, I'll be there."
