Two Providence men say they've been forced to relocate their medical marijuana growing operation to a secret location after a series of robberies and thefts.
George DesRoches Jr. and Domenic Parillo told The Providence Journal (http://bit.ly/MnfL0D ) that an armed home invasion in March at their apartment in the city's Olneyville neighborhood was the last straw. They say they've been robbed or burglarized 17 times in the past five years.
DesRoches says only once has a thief been caught.
DesRoches and Parillo's growing operation has included as many as 152 plants and seedlings. They started growing medical marijuana legally after the state enacted its medical marijuana law in 2006.
The two men cleared out their apartment this week and moved the operation to an undisclosed location.
