New speed enforcement cameras added to DC streets

WASHINGTON -

Several new speed enforcement cameras are being placed on streets in the District.

Police say the eleven new cameras are being placed in the area with the highest number of crashes and injuries, calls for police service, and high speed volume.

Warning citations will be issued during a 30-day grace period which began on Wednesday.

On Monday September 3, authorities will begin issuing live moving citations to violators. 

The new photo enforcement locations are as follows:

400 block Riggs Road NE north bound
