WASHINGTON -

In response to the Colorado tragedy, some hospitals have canceled visits by a Maryland man who dresses as Batman to cheer up sick kids.

Lenny Robinson left on a cross-country hospital tour last week, however, hospitals in Saint Louis and Chicago backed out.

They said they were concerned the visits could upset patients and parents.

In a statement to the Washington Post, Robinson said he understands the decision and will still move forward with his mission to brighten days and help the healing process for sick kids.
