ANNAPOLIS, Md -
A warning has been issued for swimmers planning to take a dip in the water in Anne Arundel County.
The Department of Health has issued an advisory against swimming at Sandy Point State Park's East Beach.
The concern is with high bacteria levels.
People who come in contact with the water should wash with soap and warm water immediately. Clothing should also be washed.
The advisory will remain in effect until water samples come back with acceptable results.
The advisory does not include Sandy Point State Park's South Beach where water samples meet acceptable standards.
