MINERAL, Va. -
The U.S Geological Survey confirmed a 2.4 magnitude earthquake Louisa County, Virginia near the town of Mineral just before 12:45 a.m. Tuesday morning.
This is the same location as the August 2011 5.8 magnitude quake that was felt up and down the east coast and damaged the Washington Monument and National Cathedral.
Many areas in Virginia also sustained heavy damage in the 2011 quake.
