Prince George's County Police have rescued two girls barricaded in a Bowie home following a domestic dispute early Friday morning.
Police say around 4 a.m., a 16-year-old girl called police to report a fight between her mother and her mother's boyfriend.
Police say while the girl was on the phone with a 911, two gunshots were overheard by the operator. The operator then instructed the 16-year-old to barricade herself and her younger sister in their bedroom until police arrived.
Police used a vehicle with a large platform that can be elevated to help rescue the girls from an upper window of the house.
Police were able to get the mother's boyfriend to surrender.
No one was injured.
