Severe Storms Cause Downed Trees, Power Lines

Here's a look at some of the aftermath from the severe storms that rolled through our area.

Trees and power lines down onto a car on Belmont Avenue at Belmont Mansion in the city's Wynnefield section shortly before midnight.

In Lower Merion, Montgomery County, a downed tree and wires at Standish and Winding Way caused some problems across the road there.

Some people are waking up without power. PECO says they are dealing with scattered outages.

At the height of the storm, PECO says Montgomery County was hit hardest with 10,000 customers in the dark.

PSE&G says it has about 1,100 customers without power, the most in Bergen, Burlington, Camden, Middlesex and Somerset counties. And AC Electric reports 26 outages.

While the storm did not last long, it did wreak havoc in some areas..

FOX 29's Steve Keeley was in Roxborough on Friday morning with more on the cleanup.
