WOODBRIDGE, Va. -
A four-year-old boy has died after suffering a gunshot wound to the head in an accidental shooting in Woodbridge.
Prince William County Police say the shooting appears to be self-inflicted.
Police say the incident was reported to police by a family member at 3:25 p.m. Wednesday. The shooting took place in the 14800 block of Empire Street.
The boy sustained severe injuries and was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Police say the scene appears to be isolated to a vehicle parked on the street in the area.
No one else was injured.
The shooting is still under investigation.
