Officially, the big movie studios are not yet reporting box office receipts out of respect for the victims of the shootings in Aurora, Colorado, at a midnight screening of "The Dark Knight Rises" on Friday.
Unofficially, "The Dark Knight Rises" is on track to earn $160 million its first weekend.
Sony, Fox, Disney, Paramount, Universal and Lionsgate have joined Warner Brothers in withholding their usual revenue reports until today.
If "The Dark Night Rises" hits that $160 million mark, that would be a record for 2-D films. Tickets for 3-D films cost more and beef up a box office take.
