It's a great way to get your family outdoors, but you don't have to forget to pack your diet when you head out to the woods. Registered dietitians at the Cleveland Clinic say it's not about what you take on the camping trip to eat, but instead, what you leave behind.
Leave those sugary snacks like soda pop and granola bars at home. So what should you pack? Fruit kabobs are also a good option and you can even put them on the grill! You should also look for leaner hamburger meat or hot dogs. Turkey burgers and dogs are great options.
And don't be afraid to try some grill alternatives like veggie dogs, veggie burgers or marinated meat alternatives like tofu. If they're done the right way, you won't ever miss the meat.
