Generators should be used in well-ventilated locations outside away from all doors, windows and vent openings. The generator should be placed as far away as possible and at a minimum at least 3 feet away from your house.

Another hot morning in the Washington, D.C. area the temperatures is expected to reach 100 degrees on Wednesday.
This will be the sixth time this summer the temperature has reached 100 degrees. Part of the problem is because temperatures are not dropping at night like they typically do.
A heat advisory is in effect from 11:00 a.m. Wednesday morning to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday evening.
Showers and thunderstorms are likely to move into the area later today.
