A sixth grade teacher from Winchester was killed in a car crash Thursday. Amber Lucchiani taught at Robert Aylor Middle School.

The driver of a Ford pick-up that hit Lucchiani's mini-van was charged with reckless driving.  Leslie Wylie was traveling eastbound on Jubal Early Drive when police say Wylie crossed the median and hit Lucchiani's mini-van traveling in the opposite direction.

Two children in the van were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Lucchiani died at the scene.
