WASHINGTON -
There are no new answers from DC Mayor Vincent Gray when it comes to criminal activity inside his Mayoral campaign. Three people with close ties to his campaign have pleaded guilty to felonies.
FOX 5 caught up with Gray at a press event in SE Washington. Gray was there to encourage shop owners to stop selling drug paraphernalia. The Mayor was applauded for his efforts at the event, but some residents called on the Mayor to answer more question about his campaign.
Earlier this week federal prosecutors revealed a $653,000 shadow campaign. That hidden illegal campaign was helping Gray in his race against former Mayor Adrian Fenty. Three Council members have called on Gray to resign, but Gray says he has no plans to do so.
Gray has said from the start he knew of no wrongdoing connected to his campaign. Gray points out he was the one who invited an investigation into his campaign.
