Travel expert Vivianne Pommier from West End Travel http://www.westend.us/ says you can still book a trip to catch the games.
Here are some tips on what to look for when booking:
Air fares are still available under $1000 for round-trip flights to London from the Washington, D.C. area.
London-Heathrow isn't your only option. Check flights to other UK and European airports, i.e. Manchester, Paris, Dublin.
Hotels say rooms will open up as teams lose and head home.
If you are booking a rental apartment online - please check your sources and beware of scams.
Hotels/apartments are available just outside of London with daily train service.
