WINCHESTER, Va. -
A family in Virginia had much bigger problems than just losing power. They lost their home in last month's big storm.
Angela Williams was alone inside her mobile home in Winchester, Virginia when the big storm hit.
She says "...to me it looked like a tornado."
Next a tree and then another smashed into her house. The hallway started collapsing and then room by room the ceiling came crashing down.
"So I run back to the front door try to open it and there's a whole tree there," says Williams. She was trapped. "I remember screaming and laying in the hallway thinking - stop, please, just stop," she recalls.
A neighbor called 9-1-1 and Williams is safe, but that is not where this story ends.
Williams' husband had an old friend who hadn't seen in years. But in the week leading up to the storm he ran into that friend three times. After the storm came through he called them up.
He said 'Meet me at your old place'. He wanted to do them a favor. What he did was buy them the place next door.
"I thought he was joking, really," says Williams. But this was no joke.
The Good Samaritan insisted he remain anonymous.
"He's not doing it for a pat on his back. For everybody in America to find out he's a rich dude that's nice. He's doing it for the goodness of his heart," says Williams.
Even though they've only been there a few days - generosity makes the new place feel like home sweet home.
