LANDOVER HILLS, Md. -
Police say a cab driver has been shot by a passenger Tuesday afternoon in Landover Hills, Md.
According to Prince George's County Police spokesperson Julie Parker, the cab driver picked up a passenger at the New Carrollton Metro station. The cab driver drove the passenger to the 3800 block of Cooper Lane near Cooper Lane Elementary School where the passenger shot the driver as he attempted to rob him.
Police say the driver was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police are searching for the suspect. He is described as a black male, 20 to 25 years old, wearing a black t-shirt, khaki shorts and has a full beard.
