Posted: Updated:
WOODBRIDGE, Va. -

Dozens of people are without a home after a four-alarm apartment fire in Woodbridge, Va.

Prince William County firefighters were called to the Woodbridge Station Apartments on Eisenhower Circle just before 8 p.m. Thursday.

When they got there, flames were shooting out of the top of one of the buildings. At least one other building also caught fire.

The temperature near the fire was so intense that firefighters brought in cooling fans and worked on a rotation.

Two firefighters were taken to the hospital for heat exhaustion.

Around 100 people have been displaced. The Red Cross is providing assistance to the victims.

Residents say they were told the fire started with an electrical problem, but the fire is still under investigation.
