Friends and family are gathering on Thursday to pay their respects to a Gwinnett County teen killed in a crash. A visitation for Brittany Angel Sailors took place at Graystone Church.
The 11th grader at Grayson High was killed Sunday night on Lakeview Road. Police say Mutajah Paasawe was drunk when he slammed into Sailors' car. Investigators believe she turned in front of him just before the impact.
A tribute to the 16-year-old has grown at the crash site.
"She always had that smile that would put anyone in a good mood," said Kelly Martinelli.
Grace and celebration are both here the flowers angels and painted crosses honoring the young woman who smile, friends say, lit up their lives. They say the loss has left them forever changed.
Sailors funeral will be held on Friday.
Paasawe has been released on bond, according to police.
