Female Jogger Sexually Assaulted on Four Mile Run Trail

ARLINGTON, Va. -

Arlington Police report a 23 year-old woman was sexually assaulted at knife point Tuesday on the Four Mile Run bike trail near mile marker 44.

The woman was attacked by a Hispanic male around 7:49pm. She had passed the man minutes before on the trail. The suspect had a knife and dragged the woman off the trail into taller brush where he assaulted her.

The suspect ran after the assault and the woman ran home and drove herself to the hospital.

Virginia Hospital Center staff called 9-1-1 about an hour after the attack.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, approximately 5'5"- 6" tall and 140 lbs. The victim recalled the subject having a small head and a very high pitched voice and spoke very limited English. He had short black hair, brown eyes and no facial hair. The victim stated the suspect was wearing a green t-shirt with the word "George" across the front, and believes it was George Mason University lettering.
