The burned body was found on the 5500 block of Newtown Road in Northeast Philadelphia early Tuesday morning.

Police say firefighters were responding to a trash fire when they saw a person engulfed in the flames. The victim's legs and arms were bound with electrical cords and attached to a car jack.

The victim has not been identified.

And two men are hospitalized following the double shooting in Kensington.

Police say a 24-year-old and a 44-year-old were shot near Dauphin and North Howard streets around midnight.

One of the men was shot nine times, while the other was shot in the foot.

The 44-year-old is stable at Temple University Hospital. The 24-year-old is in extremely critical condition.

Police said the men did not know each other, and the 24-year-old was the apparent target of the shooting. No arrests have been made.
