DETROIT (WJBK) -

The jury is deadlocked in the Bobby Ferguson case.  Friday was really the first full day of deliberations with a brand new juror that was seated just this week.

The jury sent the judge two notes saying basically they were in agreement on some of the counts, but they are hopelessly deadlocked on at least one other.  Nevertheless, the judge told the jurors to go back and continue deliberating.

There are eight counts total in the indictment.

There is also another wrinkle in the case.  One of the jurors has a pre-paid vacation next week that the judge promised she could take.  At issue was whether or not another alternate juror would be seated or, as the judge ruled, only eleven jurors would hear the case.

The judge has ordered all eleven jurors to come back and continue deliberations starting next Tuesday at 8:00 a.m.
