Le Chef Restaurant serves up the authentic cuisine of northern Lebanon.

They're located at 32621 Northwestern Hwy., in Farmington Hills - and they're this weekend's myFOXhalf-off deal.

Combining Mediterranean cooking with Middle Eastern flavors, Lebanese cuisine makes a delicious culinary escape. Experience these culinary delights firsthand with today's deal!

Le Chef's menu features Middle Eastern favorites such as hummus, falafel, and shish kabobs, but it also has a variety of dishes not so easily found. Enjoy tempting plates of sauteed dandelion greens, mashed fava beans, okra stew cooked with lamb shank, whole fried red snapper, and raw lamb ground with cracked wheat, onion, and spices. While some restaurants offer vegetarian options as an afterthought, Le Chef's veggie dishes are satisfying and flavorful.

Treat yourself to the delicious flavors of Lebanon with this deal for Le Chef.

Owner Malake Bitar and head waiter Lida Rickman were good enough to pay us a visit Friday morning and shared a wonderful recipe! See below.

8 oz dried garbanzo beans (cooked) or 2 15-16 oz. cans of cooked garbanzo beans
we make ours fresh but that's what they're called in the store ^

2 cloves garlic minced

1 tablespoon ground cumin

1 1/2 teaspoons Lebanese red pepper

1 1/2 teaspoons salt

1/2 cup olive oil

Soak garbanzo beans in cold water over night for about 12 hours.
Drain and place in pan cover in water about 2 times the volume of beans and cook until tender for about 1 hour.

Drain and set it aside.

Combine remaining ingredients in a bowl and add garbanzo beans.
Toss well and enjoy :)
