Washington coach Mike Shanahan says it is a "win-win" situation for the Redskins to hold their training camp in Richmond.

Shanahan says there are long days during training camp, but when it's held out of town, "players spend more time together" when there is down town.

Redskins general manager Bruce Allen and Virginia Gov. Bob McDonnell announced Wednesday that the Commonwealth will give the Redskins $6 million in incentives to switch their summer camp to a still-to-be chosen site in Richmond in 2013. For the past decade camp has been held at the team's corporate headquarters, which will also be upgraded.

Shanahan says "Even though it's only three weeks, it's really a great time to bond together. I think it will be a win-win."
