WASHINGTON -
Councilmember David Catania says it is time for Mayor Gray to answer all question regarding his campaign or resign his seat.
"The time has come, especially in light of what we expect to happen involving the Chairman today for the mayor to provide answers to the questions that people have regarding his campaign or return to as a private citizen and address those issues," said Catania.
Catania made those comments minutes after a meeting to discuss the resignation of Chairman Kwame Brown. "The Wilson Building has been turned into a rumor mill and you know people simply speculate to when the next shoe will drop."
Communications Director for Mayor Gray, Pedro Ribeiro, said Gray has answered all questions about the investigation in the past. Ribeiro said, "The Mayor is focused on doing the job he was elected to do."
