Cass lake in Oakland County is party central on summer weekends, and this Memorial Day was no exception.
The
DNR reports that there are 150 lakes in Oakland County, but most of
those lakes are not patrolled by police. In 2009, budget cuts virtually
ended Oakland County Sheriffs from patrolling the County's lakes. Some
private lakes can pay police to patrol during busy weekends.
Memorial Day is a very popular day for hanging out on the water. Tons of people cooled off Monday by hanging out at Cass Lake. Police patrolled by boat trying to keep everyone safe. FOX 2's Ronnie Dahl hopped on board for a closer look.
