A Silver Spring family is dealing with the apparent murder-suicide of their loved ones.
The bodies of a 49-year-old man and his 39-year-old wife were found in their apartment on Colgate Way.
Police also found an important clue, a suicide note that one of them left behind.
Detectives aren't revealing the contents. But they say it gives a clear indication of just what went wrong.
"There was trauma to both bodies," Capt. Paul Starks of Montgomery County Police says.
This investigation caught neighbors by surprise. There hadn't been any trouble here recently.
"I've been here about a year, and the police don't come around a lot. I'm speechless right now," neighbor Deborah Steers-Edwards says.
Both bodies are at the Chief Medical Examiner's Office in Baltimore for autopsies.
