How to Avoid a Furnace Repair Scam

Don't get caught in a heating scam. In this edition of How 2 with FOX 2 Jeff Lee from Mechanical Heating and Cooling shows viewers what to be aware of when having your furnace inspected.

Cracks in your furnace heater can happen but they can be hard to find without the proper equipment.

If a technician says you have furnace cracks:

  • Always ask to see the cracks, too
  • If there are any doubts, get a second opinion.
  • To get a clear picture of your furnace health you can choose a company that uses a video inspection tool with a camera to see inside the furnace.

Be cautious and know the facts so you don't become a victim of a furnace scam.
