Atlanta Weather Forecast - Thursday

Updated:
ATLANTA, Ga. - HUMIDITY ABOUT TO GO WAY UP

Beginning Saturday a big increase in humidity will take place along with an increased chance of showers and t-showers.

HUMIDITY: Unseasonably low humidity has been the rule all week and that is about to come to an end starting Saturday. Dew point temperatures have been holding in the 50s all week, but by Saturday they will climb into the mid-60s and then into the upper 60s to near 70 by Sunday and Monday. Temperatures will be in the upper 80s and lower 90s so it will definitely feel much hotter both days. Higher humidity will remain in place for the following week as well.

RAIN: Increased moisture along with hot afternoon temperatures will lead to enough instability to produce showers and t-showers beginning Saturday afternoon. More showers and t-showers will form each afternoon and evening through Labor Day and then next week expect daily pop-up storms late in the day.
