Five members of a violent Arizona gang have been indicted on numerous racketeering and attempted murder-related charges.
Federal authorities announced the arrests Friday of 31-year-old Martinez Francisco Jr., 28-year-old Denean Medina, 23-year-old Amorette Hough, 23-year-old Timothy Reyes and 25-year-old Delola Graycene Medina.
Prosecutors say all five are members of the known East Side Bloods gang that originated on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community between Mesa and Scottsdale.
They're accused of various counts of conspiracy to commit murder in aid of racketeering activity, assault resulting in serious bodily injury and false statements in the acquisition of a firearm.
Francisco is in state custody and Reyes is in tribal custody. The other three defendants were arrested Aug. 29. It was unclear Friday whether any of the five have legal representation yet.
Pictures of Francisco, Hough, Reyes and the Medinas will not be released since this is a federal case.
